The nearby Vila da Batalha was the scene of great historical moments, such as the victory of the Portuguese forces over the Castilians in Aljubarrota.
Nazaré, whose ex-libris is the lighthouse of Praia do Norte, where the world surfing competition Big Wave World Record takes place.
In Óbidos we find a well maintained castle and a maze of streets and houses that delight around. Among Manueline porticoes, flowery windows and small wide, there are several typical details of the region, such as the good examples of religious and civil architecture of the aureos of the village.
Climb the castle walls with us and taste an excellent liqueur from the region – the famous “Ginjinha” served in an edible chocolate glass.
