Beja belongs to the traditional province of Baixo Alentejo and it is the biggest Portuguese district. It’s a district that extends between the Spanish stripe and the Atlantic coast, having a unique landscape contrast.

It’s an important centre of wheat production and olive tree derived products. Known by its cork production, a noble product of international acclaim and its beaches of great wild beauty, that extend to the Baixo Alentejo national park, the Vicentina Coast.
