SETÚBAL
The Setúbal district goes beyond the traditional provinces of Estremadura and Baixo Alentejo, although its capital city is just 50 Kms away from Lisbon.
Nowadays, it is one of the Portuguese districts with bigger economic development potential, namely in the areas of tourism, education and health. Bathed by the sea in the West, it has a strong production rate in the countryside. The Arrábida Natural Park, with mountains and natural beauty, is considered one of Natural Wonders of Portugal. Wine production is also very traditional, featuring the Moscatel de Setúbal, a liqueur wine similar to Porto wine.
