The district of Leiria is the home of some of the most important Portuguese monuments, such as the Batalha Monastery or the Alcobaça Monastery. The river and the king are two important marks of the history of this region in the Centre of Portugal. It’s young, modern, culturally active and very pleasant to take a walk during the day or night.

At the table, roasted sardines, tasty stews or delicious seafood are served. Bodyboard and surf boards slide vividly through the waves. Lastly, we can’t forget the famous medieval “ginja” of Óbidos and the local wines.
