Évora

ÉVORA

Évora elevates the plains of Alentejo with its warm colours.

The Évora district is located in the South of Portugal, in the heart of Central Alentejo.

Taste the good gastronomy of this region and its wines while listening to songs of “cantares alentejanos”, one its greatest traditions. While visiting the old city of Évora, we will pass by Giraldo Square, with a mandatory stop in the macabre Chapel of Bones.

Outside the walls of the old city we will travel the Alentejo wine rout, where we visit several villages spread throughout the typical plains of this region. Here, we see several stone quarries of marble extraction, as well as appreciate the embroidery of the Arraiolos region. In the end of the visit, you can get to know the borders around waterfronts of Alqueva, Europe’s biggest lake.
